"YES, yes, yes, an ideal pack for lovers of hip hop and it's 'Dirty South' incarnation. It can also be used easily with 'crunk' as the tempos are very similar, ranging from 74bpm-90bpm.

No fewer than five construction kits are included and again, Producer Loops are to be applauded for their clear tempo and key labelling because, if you 'play by ear' like so many 'bedroom producers' this saves an awful lot of mucking about.

So, you can get your mitts on a cracking array of

• Bass lines
• Drum and percussion loops
• Piano/keyboard phrases
• Synth and pad loops
• Strings
• Brass

There are even a couple of vocal grunts to keep thing authentic.

Dirty South is also a very good way to learn the art of DAW-mangling when you are first setting out because the tempo is very beginner-friendly and, of course, with this superb library, you will soon pick up the ease in which you can mix and match this collection with others on your hard drive.

Got some hip-hop sounds already? Simple - for example, get some A minor sounds from this collection and add them to any A minor stuff you have already.

Producer Lopps' qaulity means you can timestretch without any problems and you can easily take some of these 74bpm or 80bp sounds and they'll fit seamlessly with the bog-standard hip-hop tempo of 90bpm.

Of course, the kits supplied means you can also construct the track as the producer laid it out. Yet again, ideal for beginners as you can easily learn and remember what sound goes with what.

As for the more hardy among us, yes, the sounds are so swappable that creating any new track from scratch is a doddle.
