Ian Boddy Waveforms is a series of downloadable sample libraries from Something Else Music Limited. This company is run by the well-respected UK sound designer Ian Boddy who has been producing sample libraries since 1992. His work includes Ambient Volumes 1 & 2, Malice in Wonderland, Morphology, Analogue Sequencer Loops & Outer Limits for Zero-G and Transmission-X for Sample Magic. He has also provided patch and sample content for LinPlug, Camel Audio & Rob Papen Soundware.
With such a wealth of musical and sound design experience Boddy has finally decided to release his sample productions independently. These products will be marketed under the "Ian Boddy Waveforms" banner and will comprise a series of tightly-focused sample packs that will only be available in download format.
All the Waveforms libraries are comprised of 350 to 600MB of 44.1KHz, 24-Bit WAV files. For your convenience Native Instruments Kontakt 2 patches are also provided which are optimized dependant on the audio content of each release.
Renowned synthesis guru and sound designer, Ian Boddy, has been hard at work in his sonic laboratory and the result is 'Distortion & Feedback', the first in the brand new series of 'Analogue Workshop' sound libraries. Each volume will focus on one aspect of analogue sound design possible with modular and vintage synthesizers.
'Beatalogue' from Ian Boddy WAVeforms features a selection of electronic drum patterns and loops which are then fed through Boddy's massive modular synth system. All the loops have between 3 and 5 variations and are also provided in REX2 and Apple Loops format.
'Drumalogue' is a library of 1,000 analogue drum, percussion and one-shot hits. You'll get thunderous bass drums, crisp snares & hats through to abstract synth hits & FX and even weird glitchy & industrial sounds.
'Radiophonica' offers a comprehensive selection of drones, bleeps, pings and sweeps recorded directly from analogue hardware synthesisers. This is a purely analogue offering using the sort of modular systems once housed deep within the BBC's Radiophonic Workshop.
'AirWAVes' sounds were recorded using a high quality and powerful radio transciever. The results are strange garbled voices on the edge of recognition, interference patterns, static drones and hidden morse code signals.
'Sunny Lax: Modern Trance Vol 2' raises the bar yet again with another 10 Construction Kits of epic proportions (4GB Total).
