"You just can't beat a bit of Funk and so praise be for this second volume in the Electro Funk series.

The five Construction Kits all rattle along nicely at a majestic 115 BPM AND they come with some great titles, namely: Let Me See You Girl; Dance On The Beat; My Music Is Like A Sunshine; Let The Music and I Wanna Do It For Love - great stuff!

Three kits come in C and two in F, simplicity itself, so you do not have to waste time looking for the likes of Dbm or G#m to help build and expand your tracks. Phew!

Each kit has folders of drum loops, dry loops, wet loops, midi files, unlooped/tails and a plethora of one-shots, so at your fingertips is all you need to recreate that late-70's/early 80's sound.

Another 'high five' for this library is that the folders are split into parts so you can use, for example, bass part A with synth part A if you so wish.

Of course, as with all Producer Loops output, mixing and matching is so easy and a special bonus is that because you get kits in the same key and temp you can play about with ease until you create something that is really unique.

And never forget the superb mix 'n' match capabilities, so if you hear a synth line from this pack and think: 'Hang on a mo, that'll fit into my Producer Loops RnB library,' then never fear because the high quality sounds you hear are almost indestructible.

And if you fancy ramping the BPM up or down worry ye not as they act like putty in your hands.

As always, I prefer the easy way out and mostly use wet loops but if you fancy adding a vocoder, distortion or 'bounce off the studio wall reverb' effect then the dry loops handle everything with ease.

As always, you are only limited by your imagination.

This pack comes from a chap called DJ Kahlid and, if you've never heard of him, let Producer loops put you right: DJ Khalid has taken the urban world by storm over recent years, with numerous appearances alongside famous DJs and international acts, including Kid Koala, DJ Vadim, The Herbaliser, DJ Hype, Coldcut, Gonzales and Amon Tobin.
