The term is a portmanteau of the words "complex" and "electro" and it combines elements of Dubstep, Fidget House and Electro House with the latter being its heaviest influence. As a result, BPM ranges from of 126-130, not 140. It was developed as a hybrid genre in the early to mid 2000s.
