Glyn was a key member of Dub-House maestros Rockers Hi Fi who made a number of seminal albums during the '90s for the Island, Warner Bros and K7 labels, including the infamous DJ Kicks 'The Black Album'. Glyn went on to produce a number of albums for Stereo Deluxe and Jazzanova's Sonar Kollektiv label, performing DJ gigs all over Europe, in Japan and America. He has remixed for Sly & Robbie, Black Uhuru, Bob Marley & the Wailers, Paul Weller, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Gilles Peterson's MC Earl Zinger, Vieux Farka Toure, Ennio Morricone, Radioactiveman and Blood Wine or Honey as well as collaborating with Fela Kuti's drummer Tony Allen.
'Biggabush: Afro Electro Dub' comes with 1.26 GB of content with loops, one-shots, sampler patches and REX2 loops ready for deployment. 391 tempo-synced loops feature original breakbeats based on live samples and loops, as well as classic drum machine sounds from Roland 606, 707, 808 and 909.
Expect deep synth basslines and live bass grooves and a warm selection of instruments to add melodic flavours including arps, pads, chords, plucks and stabs, from an array of keys, synths, organs and pianos. As an accomplished guitar and bass player, Glyn has including a host of Afro influenced melody lines as well as multi-use Funk chords and sinuous basslines.
Each element has been treated and produced to slip right into your existing music, or give you inspiration for the future. Over 200 one-shot samples have been put together to sequence in your own style. These include drums, FX, bass, synths, vocals, guitar chords and five multi sampled instruments. Hundreds of REX2 loops and 38 sampler patches are included to expand the creative possibilities.
Equipment used to create this pack includes Fender Jazzmaster guitar and Precision bass, Roland Juno-60, Korg Mini 500, Novation Bass station and Vintage Keys, Roland TR8 and TB3 guaranteeing a fine selection of phat and phizzing analogue sounds you're unlikely to hear anywhere else.
From tempos between 74-160 BPM, 'Biggabush: Afro Electro Dub' brings you a worldwide selection of sounds for Afrobeat, Funk, Electro, Hip Hop, Breakbeats, House and many other genres.
With Basslines inspired by Robbie Shakespeare, Aston 'Family Man' Barrett and Errol 'Flabba' Holt, and live drum parts recorded on a Gretsch kit with percussion parts played on woodblocks, afoxe, sencero (African bells), caixixi, agogos, guiro and ganzas, a world and wealth of musical elements will come flowing into your music.
