Layering samples and field recordings, 'Abstractions' features sounds taken from a wide sonic spectrum, including scenes from the lively city of Brighton, UK, from beach-front cafés to street performances, bird-songs and recordings taken while cycling through the town centre, alongside unconventional recordings of live instruments.
Recordings include scraping coins over a bass guitar, playing a medieval psaltery with a head of a hammer, and a wooden xylophone played by candles. These recordings were all then twisted, stretched remixed and blended together, alongside synth tones to create truly unique textural audio.
In detail, expect to find 1.47 GB, with 142 long, evolving audio textures recorded at 24-Bit/44.1kHz at tempos of between 80 and 180 BPM. The collection includes 142 soft sampler patches for Kontakt, Halion, EXS24, NN-XY and SFZ and is also available in Apple Loops version for Logic users.
