Author: rekkerd.org "Inspiration Sounds has recently finished the Funked Up Series of downloadable sample packs with the release of Funked Up Complete.
The Funked Up Series aims to provide a timeless collection that producers could use in a wide variety of different production genres.
Funked Up Complete includes all five packs from the Funked Up Series, plus an additional 35MB of Funky House drumloops (only available in Funked Up Complete).
When first auditioning the samples, you might think they lack a bit of that “phat” funky sound.
This is intentional, as leaving the samples dry (without effects) allows you to mix them exactly the way you want to. There’s nothing worse than samples that have been over-processed making it hard to fit them in a mix.
Key and tempo information can be found in most filenames. The Percussion and Bass Guitars loops are BPM synced so they can be stretched to various tempos while maintaining a high quality. It’s a breeze putting a funky track together with Funked Up Complete.
You don’t necessarily need to stick to Funk music either, as these samples can easily be used in a variety of other styles.
So what do I think?
Funked Up Complete has funk, no doubt about it. I believe Inspiration Sounds has accomplished their goal of presenting a collection of usable loops and samples. You basically have everything you need to create funky tracks.
The versatile Bass Guitars and Percussion samples are my favorites. Obviously these samples are great for funk music, but they can easily be used in many other genres.
Funked Up Complete sells for £59.95 GBP, more than £20 GBP off the total price of the individual products, so if you’re looking for a complete package of funky loops and samples you should definitely check it out."

Author: audiotechnews.com "Inspiration Sounds were kind enough to let me have copies of some of their latest releases; namely the wonderful Funked Up Apple Loops and Funked Up Acid Loops!
Following the initial unzip into wav files, these loops are just pure quality, with everything neatly labelled; drums, percussion, bass, horns and voice all in their own individual files, and labelled with their individual BPM as they were recorded.
So it’s just a case of drag, drop, try it out. If it’s good, copy it, and paste the hell out of it!"
