Bass House is a broad, melting pot of a genre gaining popularity in the mid-2010s. A typical Bass House track blends 4x4 beats and synths that are already commonly found in House with bass wobbles and other synths often found in Brostep and similar genres. The tempo is usually set at around 140 BPM, but can also be at the more common House tempo, 128 BPM. It often includes half-time kick/snare sections, mainly in the drops. The drums in Bass House are a lot more active than typical House drums, often being heavily influenced by UK Garage. Bass house is a somewhat broad term since producers can lean closer to either the Deep House or the harder, Bass Music side of the spectrum in their music.
It's not uncommon for influences of Hybrid Trap to be included in the genre, such as sub kicks, rapid hi-hats, 808 kicks and snares, vocal chants and high-pitch synth-stabs. There's also an influence of Electro House in many Bass House tracks. This influence is typically found in distorted synths.
