Solar System - Phobos - Pigments Presets

'Phobos' is a dark, cinematic soundbank for Arturia Pigments and Analog Lab V, built entirely from samples and inspired by Mars' moon and its mythological link to fear. The presets blend atmospheric intensity with lo-fi and retro textures, delivering gloomy, characterful sounds for cinematic scoring.

'Phobos' continues our Solar System soundbank series for Arturia Pigments and Analog Lab V. This release is entirely sample-based and draws inspiration from Phobos, one of Mars' two moons. In Greek mythology, Phobos represents fear - and that concept strongly defines the character of this soundbank. The presets are dark, intense, and atmospheric, carrying a distinctly gloomy edge. Many of the sounds also lean naturally toward lo-fi aesthetics, making them suitable for related music genres.

The synthesizer presets are cinematic, but with a unique twist: the lo-fi dimension introduces subtle retro textures that add depth, warmth, and character.

Please note that due to the use of samples in several presets, sample playback speed - both in simple and loop modes - varies depending on the keyboard note played. Lower octaves result in slower playback, while higher octaves increase speed and intensity. A clear example of this behavior can be heard in the preset “Walking On Phobos 01.”

Overall, this soundbank is well suited for cinematic scoring, vintage video game-inspired compositions, retro-style productions, and ambient music. Fans of classic soundtracks will recognize the influence in presets such as “Fear 01,” inspired by the iconic Shadow of the Beast 2 soundtrack.

Requirements:

All presets designed with Pigments 4.1.1.3513 (x64) and run best with this or newer edition.
Analog Lab V edition: Soundbank needs at least version Analog Lab V 5.7.4.371 (x64) or newer.
