SOR: Waldorf Microwave Presets

'Waldorf Microwave Presets' from SOR delivers 131 patches covering evolving ambient textures, organic pads, classic house stabs, hard-pumping basses, unique effects, glassy cold and powerful leads, and many wonderful analogue-sounding patches. Simultaneously modern and retro, these presets go well with every genre of electronic music. Most sounds can be altered via Aftertouch, Bender, and/or Modulation.

The Waldorf Microwave is a digital/analog hybrid in which digitally sampled wavetables are processed via analog VCA envelope and VCF filter sections - producing a classic, warm, and mighty sound. Hard techno/rave noises, deep basses, and typical house stabs are its specialty, alongside gentle lead sounds and breathtaking analogue character that sounds simply different from everything else.

The download includes the original synth patches produced for the classic hardware synthesiser (128 patches) as well as a revised and perfected new version for the plugin (131 patches). 24 MIDI files are also included for musical inspiration and context.

Please note: the Microwave 1 has no internal effects. A few standard effect plugins were used for the demo. All sounds except the drums are from the Microwave 1 plugin.
