'Quiet Piano - Ambient Loops' from Loopmasters invites you to drop beneath the surface of this warm bath of carefully recorded sound and immerse yourself in softly cinematic soundscapes rich in texture and emotion. Quietly recorded in a home studio with a beloved vintage Chappell acoustic upright piano, a thin layer of fabric was draped just in front of the strings to dampen the sound and produce an aural atmosphere both intimate and instantly universal.

A stereo pair of condenser microphones placed very close to the soundboard captured the instrument's every resonance as well as the subtle percussion of the piano's hammers themselves - a technique adopted by composers such as Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds, and Dustin O'Halloran.

The sound of feet on the sustain pedal, the creaking of the piano's gorgeous wooden casing, and the very breathing of the pianist awaiting the next note all ebb and flow with a tender, authentic naturalism impossible to replicate in the box. Accompanying the pack's 101 piano loops are twinkling toy piano parts, deep sub bass, detailed field recordings spanning garden birdsong, plaintive rain drips and gentle winds, and a folder of deeply immersive ambient textures created exclusively from the included piano loops.
