'Rare Woodwind' from Organic Loops takes you from the mountains of South America to the deserts of North Africa and the valleys of Eastern Europe to the plains of North America, encompassing traditional and modern musical influences through an exotic array of flutes, pipes, and woodwind instruments from across the globe.

Performed by Max Gittings and recorded and produced by Michael Tedstone - the team behind the popular Chinese Woodwind pack - this collection contains a huge array of samples, loops, one-shots, and impacts recorded on a bewildering variety of rarely used woodwind instruments. Recorded using AKG 414 XLII and AKG 414 XLS microphones through both the renowned Neve 1073SPX and Neve Libra console.

The instruments featured include the Siku (Zampona), two-row Andean panpipes notable for their breathy atmospheric tone; the Nai, classic Romanian panpipes with a very emotive timbre; the Toyos, bass panpipes over a metre long from the Andes; the Mizwad Hornpipe, a piercing folk instrument from Tunisia; the Low Whistle from Irish and Scottish folk traditions; a Low Bamboo Flute from the Indian Bansuri family; the Fujara, a traditional shepherds' flute from Slovakia standing over four feet tall; the Native American Flute with its stark and plaintive melodic beauty; the Tilinko Overtone Flute from Hungary; and the Bass Flute used rhythmically and melodically throughout.

Loops play between 80-130 BPM, making this collection perfect for world music, downtempo, ambient, chillout, trip-hop, hip-hop, house, and more.
