Preserving a powerful and ancient vocal tradition through the voice of my dear friend Vanya Triffonova, this pack brings together years of Bulgarian folklore vocal recordings. It features selected traditional songs we love, as well as vocal phrases, ad-libs, and cuts/fx, available in dry and wet versions, with English lyric translations included in a PDF.
Vanya has appeared on many releases on our label, including “Svashke” with Neznaen and “Vchera” with EVG. I'm also deeply grateful to another dear friend, Simoo, for taking the time to organize and record an additional session with her especially for this sample pack.
These are all Bulgarian national folklore songs (in the public domain), recorded in Bulgaria by Bulgarian artists. We've collected some of the more popular songs that people still sing to this day at weddings and other celebrations, as well as others that may be lesser known but are equally beautiful and full of character. The sample pack includes more: ad-lips, vocal phrases and cut/fx loops.
I've also included both the original Bulgarian lyrics and English translations in PDF format. The idea is to give producers proper context and understanding of what each song is about when sampling and using these vocals in their own productions. This way, there's no need to guess or worry about unintentionally using words that might feel out of place, inappropriate, or culturally insensitive.
All sounds are royalty-free. For major releases (radio/TV play or releases expecting over 100,000 streams on any platform), you have to credit the vocalist as a featured artist. You will NOT owe any splits. Contact us to discuss credits, alternative options or if you have any questions.
